College of Acupuncture of Prince Edward Island

The College of Acupuncture of Prince Edward Island (CAPEI) regulates the practice of acupuncture under the Regulated Health Professions Act. CAPEI is committed to ensuring safe, ethical, and competent care for the public by establishing clear professional standards, supporting continuing education, and managing the registration of qualified practitioners.

Registration & Renewal Schedule

  • Annual Renewal Period: September 15 – October 15

  • Late Renewal (with fee): October 16 – October 31

  • After October 31: Reinstatement application and fees required

Fee Structure

Application Fees

  • General Application: $150

  • Special Application: $50

  • Reinstatement Application: $150

Registration Fees

  • Annual Fee: $800
    Prorated annual fees for new applicants are $500 (6 months) and $275 (3 months)

  • Special Registration (90 days): $300

  • Special Registration (30 days): $100

Other Fees

  • Verification Fee: $50

  • Late Renewal Fee: $100

  • Reinstatement Registration Fee: $150

  • Unauthorized Practice Fee: $50/day (max $1000)
